Interesting and eclectic collection of research papers by UH students related to Puna, the environment, and the community. Especially of interest in light of the current 2018 Kilauea Eruption disaster is the research conducted by Shinzo Shimabukuro entitled, "Human Evaluation and Adjustment to Volcanic Hazard in Puna District." In a survey, 67 percent of respondents were not worried about future eruptions and had no plans, 29 percent stated they had a plan, and four percent did not respond. Other notable papers address "The Role of Hunting in the Kalapana-Kaimu Hawaiian Community" and "The Stories of Samuel Oulu Konanui."
